The world is changing fast. The way we communicate, handle our information or integrate our lives with technology are all changing, seemingly with each passing day.
Chief executives and upper management no longer restrict business meetings to time-consuming, stiff and impersonal discussions but rather include a more informal approach, concluding business dealings in relaxed environments such as golf courses, tennis courts, over meals or even at dance socials (watch video for testimonials).
The benefits of this approach to business are such that they have yielded a lasting trend of mixing business with social activities. However, when it comes to junior level management and general employees, it appears to be business as usual.
As these benefits should exist at any tier of business; including such principles of business practice on even lower levels should result in similar benefits to the company as a whole. In this vein, imagine a venue where young professionals from different companies can meet to integrate the aspects of business networking with a social recreational activity like salsa dancing.
The Latin Dance Company Ltd (TLDC) has conducted several successful team building and networking activities with many Nigerian and multinational organizations like Virgin Nigeria, Unilever, Interswitch, Citibank, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and British American Tobacco (BAT), to name but a few. Further, as a pioneer of salsa dancing in Nigeria, we have designed a program AFTER WORK SALSA to bridge the organizational gulf between companies by integrating aspects of social networking, team building, work-life balance and health and fitness in a way to bring companies together using Salsa dancing as a medium.
By requiring the participation of several companies at a time, AFTER WORK SALSA pays attention to the need of an informal avenue to promote networking between employees of different companies. In addition, as a partner dance, Salsa includes the unique dynamic of interpersonal interaction, communication, trust and team work. As a social activity, the light hearted nature of the dance (salsa) fosters a relaxed setting that ideally contrasts a high stress work environment.
We invite your organization to be a part of After Work Salsa program, please send us an email or call us; contact information is found on page.
PLEASE NOTE: Individuals from small organizations/businesses are also welcome to After work Salsa and can just walk in, but MUST show their organization ID card and business card at the gate; Name on ID card should match business card.
