Stay Safe
Instructors, team owners, and organizers on the Service are independent users — not employees of Cosmo Labs. Cosmo Labs does not vet, certify, or supervise them. The recommendations below are not exhaustive, but they reflect best practices for dancers using any community platform.
Meet Safely
- For first meetings, choose a public studio or busy venue.
- Tell a friend or family member where you are going and when to expect you back.
- Arrange your own transportation when possible.
- Trust your instincts — if something feels off, leave.
- Do not share sensitive personal or financial information with someone you have just met.
Verify Instructors Independently
- Look up the instructor on their public profiles and social media.
- Ask about credentials, certifications, and insurance — and how long they have been teaching.
- Read reviews and ask other students about their experience.
- Request a short trial lesson before paying for a package.
- Confirm pricing, location, refund terms, and cancellation policy in writing before booking.
Public Meetups, Socials & Events
- Confirm event details directly with the organizer before attending — dates, times, and venues can change.
- Drink responsibly and watch your drink.
- Respect partner boundaries on the dance floor — verbal consent overrides body language.
- Have a way home arranged before you arrive.
Reporting Abuse
If you experience or witness harassment, threats, unsafe conduct, or any violation of our Community Guidelines, use the in-app report tools or our contact form. We review every report. Reporter identities are not shared with the person being reported.
Emergencies
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away. Cosmo Labs is not equipped to provide emergency response and is not a substitute for professional help.
